Steellogy manufactures industrial knives for metal processing — shear blades for steel plate cutting, circular slitting knives for coil processing, and trimming blades for strip finishing lines. Our metal cutting knives are engineered for the extreme hardness and abrasion demands of cutting steel, aluminum, copper, and other metals. European quality, full material traceability, competitive pricing.
Shear Blades for Metal Cutting
Metal shear blades are heavy-duty industrial knives used to cut steel plate, sheet metal, and heavy gauge materials. These blades must withstand enormous cutting forces while maintaining a straight, sharp edge across their full length. Steellogy produces shear blades from high-chromium tool steels (D2, D6) and HSS grades with hardness selected by duty (typically HRC 56–62 for plate-shear blades). Available in lengths up to 6000mm for large-format plate shears.
Our metal shear blades are compatible with shearing machines from major manufacturers including Amada, LVD, Haco, Durma and Accurpress. Custom dimensions and steel grades available for specific material cutting requirements.
Circular Slitting Knives for Coil Processing
Circular slitting knives are precision-ground round blades used in steel coil slitting lines to cut wide coils into narrower strips. Blade quality directly determines strip edge quality, burr formation, and dimensional accuracy. Steellogy manufactures slitting knives from D2, M2 HSS, and tungsten carbide in diameters from 100mm to 500mm. Our strict, drawing-controlled tolerances ensures consistent strip width accuracy across the full coil length. Similar precision-ground circular blade technology is used in our industrial knives for paper cutting.
Trimming and Side-Trimmer Blades
Trimming blades and side-trimmer knives are used in steel mills and processing centers to trim the edges of steel strip and plate to final width specifications. These industrial knives must handle the full range of steel grades from mild carbon steel to high-strength stainless and silicon steels. Steellogy trimming blades are manufactured from premium tool steels with optimized heat treatment for maximum life on the specific steel grade being processed.
Steel Grades for Metal Cutting Knives
Metal cutting is the most demanding application for industrial knives. For cutting mild and medium-carbon steels, D2 tool steel (HRC 58-62) provides an excellent balance of wear resistance and toughness. For stainless steel and high-strength alloys, HSS M2 and M42 grades offer the hot hardness and edge retention needed for clean cuts. Tungsten carbide inserts deliver the ultimate wear resistance for high-volume slitting operations.
